The purpose of the Recreation Committee is to organize events such as dances, tournaments and special events that will bring the membership together in solidarity. Annual events that the Recreation committee organizes include:
  • Have A Heart for A Heart Valentine Dance
  • Golf Tournament
  • Big Brothers and Big Sisters Bowling
  • Summer Shutdown BBQ
  • Labour Day BBQ
  • Teddy Bear Christmas
  • News Year Eve Dance
Also we are involved with POEM Council; this council organizes different events within the region of Perth, Oxford, Elgin and Middlesex. This council is made up all the Local’s within this region and meet the first Tuesday of each month. Annual events that the POEM Council organizes include:
  • Curling Bonspiel
  • Hockey Tournament
  • 8 Ball Pool Tournament
  • Golf Tournament
  • Slo-Pitch Baseball Tournament
  • Darts Tournament
  • Texas Holdem Poker Tournament
  • Euchre/Cribbage Tournament
Monthly Meeting’s:
Our Recreation Committee meets the last Sunday of each month at 9:30am prior to the General Membership Meeting. New members and ideas are welcomed.
